Anne Herring Neilson began her artistic career with a successful pottery business, Herring Designs, Inc. After a brief interlude spent focused on her growing family, she rekindled her lifelong passion for art in 2003 when she began painting in oils. Neilson quickly became nationally known for her ethereal Angel Series paintings which are inspiring reflections of her faith and flair for color and light. In October 2012 Neilson self-published Angels In Our Midst, an inspirational coffee table book, which has sold over 30,000 copies to date. Following it’s success Anne released a follow up book, Strokes of Compassion, continuing her journey of giving back through art. Most recently, Anne released Angels: The Collector’s Edition, her largest coffee table book to-date, showcasing the most-loved content from Angels In Our Midst as well as brand new stories of faith from renowned musical artists like Steven Curtis Chapman and Amy Grant. Proceeds from the sales of The Collector’s Edition benefit organizations championing those fighting homelessness and poverty.
Because of the high demand of her original oils and the popularity of her books, Anne continues to develop luxury home products that complement her Angel Series. The growing line currently features notecards, scripture cards, journals, prints and luxury candles.
Neilson paints with both passion and purpose. Her passion is to paint. Her purpose is to give back to others less fortunate in her community and beyond by contributing to local, national and international organizations with proceeds from her art shows, books and products. In addition to Anne Neilson Home, Neilson also owns the Anne Neilson Fine Art Gallery, located in the Shops at Morrison in the SouthPark area of Charlotte. Representing more than 40 talented artists from across the world, the Gallery is dedicated to being a lighthouse in Charlotte and beyond, illuminating the work of emerging and established artists. With an eye on bettering the world, a portion of all sales are given directly to partner non-profit organizations devoted to making the community a little bit brighter. Anne lives in Charlotte, NC, with her husband and their four children.
