At the beginning of the year our team began petitioning God to expand our territory. We want to make a national - heck, an international - impact, and our goal is to continue giving back on greater and greater levels to those making a difference in lives across the world. It's such a fun thing as a believer to watch His fingertips trail across the landscape of each new adventure He has planned for you.
And right now, the adventure He is writing for Anne Neilson Home includes the big screen. No, really! We are anxiously awaiting the release of the movie Same Kind of Different As Me, a real life story of an international art dealer (my dear friend Ron Hall), a homeless man (the incredible Denver Moore) and how their lives collided. You'll be hearing more about this movie, starring among others, Greg Kenner, Renee Zellweger, Djimon Hounsou, Jon Voigt, and Olivia Holt as well as our involvement as it gets closer! Additionally, Anne Neilson Home products will be inside of each of the gift bags being given to every nominee and presenter at the Golden Globes in 2017!
God has such a sense of humor. I love everything about movies, and my husband fusses at me because I will watch the same films over and over again. I adore them! It's been so encouraging for me to have an increased access to the world of filmmaking through the doors He has opened for me and to see how God is subtly and increasingly becoming a light in that industry.
Last fall we released our first set of candles, which sold out almost immediately. Since that time, we have been working to perfect and refresh these favorite candles, and not only are we thrilled to re-release them this October (mark your calendars!), we cannot wait to introduce you to our newest candle Luminous, which will be the candle (exclusive Angel image pictured above!) that the A-listers at the Globes experience as well. How fitting that this company, which has been built to be a lighthouse, will be shining a little light in Hollywood this winter!
