Fully. Rely. On. God.

2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. Most people have a preferred trinket they like to collect to symbolize luck or blessing or comfort or encouragement. Some people collect angel figurines, some collect crosses or butterflies or rabbits. I have a few frogs in my own stash. A long time ago someone told me that “FROG” was a handy acronym for “Fully Rely On God,” and I’ve held on to that as my life “hops” from season to season… some full of blessing and joy, others rife with trial and tribulation – work accomplishments, personal loss, parenting struggles and wins. It’s so refreshing in a world that slings doubt, confusion, anger and turmoil to know that we have a mighty God who loves us desperately and unapologetically in spite of our shortcomings and weaknesses. His grace IS sufficient for us. If you really want to expand on the illustration, you could encourage yourself to give your anxiety to God and let Him “ribbit” apart. Wink. I love this little tree FROG we found one night as we were heading to dinner this summer. It was another chance for me to remind my kids that no matter what, we FROG.
